EB2. The newest Ross item is an
electronic practice chanter, an economical electronic practice instrument. This plays the
standard great highland bagpipe scale, as do normal practice chanters, without drones.
Volume can be turned up or down. For normal audio playing, the ear plugs must be
connected. There is also a special function called "digital mode." Small ear
phones are included Chanter is 13 1/4" long overall. Price: $185.

The Ross programmable electronic bagpipes, shown at left, are a modern digital instrument
which is played like a chanter. (The drones can be switched on or off as you wish.) You
can play in your hotel with headphones on and nobody can hear you, or you can do a bagpipe
performance to a huge audience with amplification. This is a very versatile instrument.
Your fingers touch sensitive pads to play; these are spaced the
same as on a normal bagpipe chanter.
Can be set to play in the keys of B Flat (standard bagpipe key) plus the keys of E, F, G,
A, B, C and D.
The electronic box has volume control, mute button, and jack for amplification or
headphones.
Overall length: 16".
Plays with a nine-volt battery (included) . Please note that these cannot be plugged into
AC current.
