Used Prelude 38 by Lyon & Healy

This beautiful harp in natural finish has a gold crown and gold claw feet. It is about 3 1/2 years old, and looks brand new, in mint condition. The previous owner cannot have played this harp very much.

38 strings, range low C up to E, combination of nylon, gut and wire, new-style levers.

New Prelude 40 by Lyon & Healy

This elegant lever harp has optional* gold crown and gold claw feet as shown at left; you could walk past it and think it was a pedal harp if you didn't look closely. It now comes with a very nice floral decal on the soundboard, as shown. The Prelude is strung with thicker strings than folk harps in order to give the harpist the same feel as a pedal harp. This makes this harp an excellent choice for the student who plans to move on to the pedal harp, or for anyone who simply wants a top-of-the-line lever harp that will last. And what a sound! Price includes a well-made slightly padded black cover  with some extra padding around the harmonic curve and the Lyon & Healy logo embroidered in bright gold on it.

*Note that the gold crown can be removed and replaced by a matching wood disk, and the gold feet replaced by plain wood feet, for those who prefer the plain look. The Prelude we have here comes with both the gold crown and the wood disk, and both kinds of feet, so that you can have your preference on this.

Braunwen Model Harp by Stoney End

This pretty-looking natural cherry 29-string Braunwen, just in, has a good sound, and its reasonable size and weight make it easy to carry. The full set of Truitt levers and the custom artwork on the soundboard by Cathryn White are features that raise this harp above the standard. The harp is attached to the separate base by two knobs that screw in and out easily. Comes with a green padded carrying case and a matching green tote bag for carrying the base, both emblazoned with a white harp.

Ogden Model by Lyon & Healy

We have an Ogden in the dark mahogany finish, as shown at left. This model has strings that are the same thickness as those on pedal harps. Comes with with heavy black cover embroidered with Lyon & Healy logo and both 4" and 8" matching legs that can be attached, so that this harp can be in three different heights. With tuning key. $2650.

Sale! New Lyric model by Lyon & Healy

This harp has graceful Irish-look lines, large soundbox, thin soundboard and thinner strings that give it a huge sound. However, the string tension is firm. Dark mahogany color. Blue satin dust cover included, with "Lyon & Healy" printed in gold on it. This harp is no longer made by Lyon & Healy, and we do not know what its lists price would be; however it last listed at about $4500.  Includes dust cover and tuning key. We are pricing this harp to sell at $3500.

Sierra 34 Model by Triplett

The harp sitting here for sale is the actual harp shown at left, in natural cherry wood, with a light-colored Baltic birch/maple veneer soundboard. There are decorative strips along the edges of the soundbox and down the center of the row of strings. My harp tuner, who tunes a lot of harps, says it has a really great sound.  An advantage of the Sierra model is that it is narrow at the top of the soundbox, and short arms can reach around it easily.

Used Nova Model by Triplett

Cherry wood, 34 strings, with fleece-lined case. Full brass flip levers. This harp is in very good condition; its previous owner had to have taken very good care of it. $2500

Meghan Model

Rosewood with light-colored birch ply soundboard. 36 strings, full levers (except for top five strings). This harp is excellent as a first harp; it offers 36 strings at a very reasonable price, and the sound is surprisingly good for the price.

Specs: 51" high, 31 levers, 26 lb.

Price: $1150, including padded nylon carrying case (like Heather case below), extra set of strings and tuning key. (Maker's list price for harp plus case is $1529.) Picture and specifications.

This harp now comes in two styles:

1. Celtic interweave knotwork design carved on the two sides of the soundbox (see far left photo). We currently have the plain rosewood model, shown at immediate left.

2. New! Plain harp, no decoration.

A Gift For Our Harp Customers

We give you a Korg tuner with the purchase of each harp that is over $700. This tuner, which we use here all the time for tuning the harps on the showroom floor, is great for travel as well as use at home. It's small, light in weight, and run by batteries (which last a long time).

Of course, if you already have a tuner, we'll substitute something else - a book of music, harp jewelry or whatever. We like to give you a little something as our way of thanking you for buying a harp from us.

All harps come with a tuning key included.

New York State residents: all of our harps are made out of state. If you place an order with us for a harp to be shipped to you from the maker, we can arrange this as an out-of-state sale. Please discuss this with us.

In general, harps cost the same, whether they are bought from us or the maker. When comparing harp prices, be sure to check whether or not levers, case and shipping to you are included in the quoted price.

Christina Therapy 25 Model by Triplett

This harp was developed by Triplett for harp therapy use, and is designed with a shoulder strap so that it can be played while standing or walking. The strings have light tension. Comes with purple Triplett fleece-lined case, plus harp strap that attaches to the harp itself.
